About Us
Svea Lutheran is a rural church located about 6 miles south of Willmar, MN just off of Hwy 71.
We rotate between traditional, contemporary, and blended services. Holy Communion is received every Sunday, and all are welcome at the table. |
Our Faith
Our faith centers on Jesus Christ, our Lord, who has entered into our broken world, and redeemed all of creation. He was born, died, and raised again all so that we might believe in God's love and mercy for us. Salvation comes through faith in Christ. There is no place God won't go to find us and draw us back into relationship with Him. We believe in God - the Father, Son and Holy Spirit - at work in relationship with all that God has made. Through Christ, God has made us his own.
We look to the Bible as our source of truth, in relationship with God. Read and proclaimed, it bears Christ to each one of our lives, constantly putting our old selves to death and raising us to new life. The Bible is the inspired word of God; through its authors and translators, through histories, parables, poetry, and prayer, it shows us the truth of God's relationship with us. We are a church affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We acknowledge the Lutheran Confessions as faithful witnesses to the truth of the Gospel in our lives.
